Sometimes we have more than one thing to celebrate, and that's absolutely awesome. Adorable Lilly turned one, her parents had big news, the grandparents were in town, and it was Christmastime, so we just went ahead and did a combination family, cake smash, holiday, and birth announcement shoot! I love being able to mix it up with different backgrounds and locations, outfits, props, and combinations of people to give clients the most variety possible in their galleries. Lilly wasn't so sure about the cake at first (there was a lot going on there), but after a quick trick of sneaking some "safe" treats (berries!) on top, she was ready to dive in when she discovered the amazingness that is buttercream frosting. And with the whole family there, it really did feel like a birthday party! Here are some of my favorite shots from the day:
